  • 35 Hours Per Week.
20 hours a week for the first 12 weeks, then 25, then 35. All days onsite, 1-day telework hybrid schedule subject to supervisor discretion 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM Summary The retained Knowledge Services to provide a Chief Clerk. This position, as assigned and in accordance with prescribed instructions and established standards, will have the primary responsibility of scanning and archiving public water systems records both current and historical in accordance with the center's records retention policy. Additionally, this position may perform tracking of routine documents submitted to by public water systems as required under the Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) regulations, data entry of the tracking information into the Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS), and electronic and hard copy filing of the documents. This position will work under the supervision of a superior from whom instructions are received concerning policies and objectives. Responsibilities
  • Organize and maintain physical and digital records.
  • Scan and upload records into database.
  • Archive physical records according to records retention policy and state archiving guidelines.
  • Tracking of LCR documents and data entry of the tracking information into the SDWIS database.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed in the office (including not limited to, mailing, telephone calls, filing.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
  • An interest in Environmental Science / State Government
  • An interest in protecting public health
  • A working knowledge of software platforms such as Microsoft Office
  • Ability to use office equipment, including scanners and printers
  • Ability to interpret and understand state/federal policies
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, superiors, and the public and other related capacities and abilities. Education and Experience
