Adjunct Instructor of Voice Position Summary Trinity College of Jacksonville is seeking qualified applicants for an Adjunct Instructor of Voice. This position is responsible for providing high-quality private voice instruction that develops students' technical proficiency, artistry, and confidence while encouraging their spiritual growth. We seek educators who are committed to integrating a biblical worldview into their teaching and mentoring students in a Christ-centered learning environment. Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide weekly private voice instruction to undergraduate students.
  • Teach healthy vocal technique through sound pedagogical principles.
  • Develop students' vocal abilities across a variety of musical styles, including:
  • Contemporary Worship
  • Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM)
  • Classical
  • Musical Theatre
  • Incorporate biblical principles and Christian values into instruction and student mentorship.
  • Prepare students for juries, recitals, performances, and other departmental events.
  • Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with music faculty to support student success and departmental goals.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and other activities as requested.
Qualifications Applicants should possess:
  • A master's degree in Voice, Music, Worship, Vocal Pedagogy, or a closely related field.
  • Previous experience teaching private voice lessons at the collegiate or pre-collegiate level.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of vocal pedagogy and healthy vocal technique.
  • Familiarity with Contemporary Worship music and Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) vocal styles.
  • The ability to teach multiple vocal genres, including classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles.
  • Moderate keyboard proficiency to lead vocal warm-ups and support weekly lessons. (An accompanist is provided for student performances.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and mentoring skills. Preference will be given to candidates who:
  • Utilize a functional approach to vocal training.
  • Have experience preparing students for performance and ministry opportunities.
