Job Description

Wind & Brass Faculty — Pre-College Conservatory Academy (North Atlanta) William Pu Music Academy Alpharetta, GA Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $50 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Relocation assistance Flexible schedule Qualifications School experience Youth programs teaching experience Student mentoring Teaching Teaching instrumental performance Full Job Description We're inviting professional flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba players to join the faculty at William Pu Music Academy (WPMA) — a pre-college, conservatory-style academy in North Atlanta. This is a fit for experienced musicians who've performed and taught at a high level (including those with international careers) and want to mentor driven young players while building a studio of their own. About the program. WPMA students train the way pre-professional musicians do. Each one studies privately every week, takes musicianship and theory coursework, sharpens sight-reading, performs in monthly studio classes and recitals, plays chamber and orchestral repertoire, and learns directly from guest artists in masterclasses. Student outcomes. WPMA accounts for one of the largest shares of any single academy in Georgia's All-State and youth-orchestra ranks. Our students hold leadership chairs in NYO, NYO2, the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra, Emory Youth Symphony Orchestra, and GMEA All-State; win prizes in state, national, and international competitions; and perform at major festivals. They've continued to conservatories such as Juilliard, Peabody, Indiana's Jacobs School, New England Conservatory, and the San Francisco Conservatory, and to universities including Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Stanford, Duke, and more.
