Job Description

The Department of Music in the David R. Hayworth School of Arts and Design at High Point University invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Instructor of Trumpet position beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. Position Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Teach undergraduate applied trumpet lessons to music majors, minors, and non-majors Recruit and mentor trumpet students within the growing HPU music program Perform as Principal Trumpet in the High Point University Community Orchestra Collaborate with music faculty in performances, student recruitment, and artistic initiatives Participate in departmental events as appropriate
Qualifications Required:
Master's degree in Trumpet Performance, Music Education, or related field Demonstrated excellence as a performer and teacher Ability to teach students with a wide range of backgrounds and experience levels Strong communication and collaborative skills
Preferred:
