An Art Professor teaches foundational art ideas, truths, and methods to students through a combination of classroom instruction and assignments at colleges, trade schools or other institutes. Summary of Duties About the School The School of Humanities and Social Sciences Meta Major encompasses a number of disciplines, including Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Human Services/Pre-Social Work, Addictions Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, History, and Education (Special Education, Infant/Toddler, Early Childhood, and Elementary/Secondary). Among the options of study encompassed by this Meta Major are Associate of Applied Science (AAS), Associate of Arts (AA), and Associate of Science (AS) programs designed to prepare students for transfer to four-year institutions and/or for entry-level careers. We also offer professional development certificates and programs in preparation for immediate employment upon graduation as well as general education courses required for all degree programs. Our mission is to offer courses and degree-granting programs centered on a critical and analytical inquiry of human behavior and institutional structures from theoretical, historical, empirical, and multicultural perspectives.
