Job Description

The Department of Communication Arts within the College of Arts and Sciences at Lee University invites applications for a VisitingLecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor position of Art starting in August 2026. We seek an engaging, innovative, dedicated artist with apassion for both teaching and advancing the program and the discipline. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future ofthe Art & Design program at Lee University through curriculum development, mentoring, and creative research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES
The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative academic environment by teaching a diverse range ofstudio art courses, and possibly art history and gallery management, while fostering student engagement and community partnerships. LeeUniversity faculty candidates are expected to demonstrate the following: a strong Christian commitment, compatibility with the university'slifestyle covenant, teaching ability at the college level, a willingness to mentor students academically and professionally, and the abilityto integrate Christian faith into academic studies. WORK EXPERIENCE MFA
