Job Description
Position Details The Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts (VCUarts) Department of Kinetic Imaging (https://arts.vcu.edu/kineticimaging) is seeking applicants for adjunct teaching positions in animation. We are seeking animators with a fine arts, non-mainstream approach. Interested parties will be considered for teaching classes in the fall 2026 semester in the following areas of study offered by the Department of Kinetic Imaging
- 2D and 3D animation. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted. Adjunct faculty are expected to be enthusiastic ambassadors for the Department of Kinetic Imaging and have a desire to work with a student population in a collaborative and learning-centered community of other adjunct instructors, students, and faculty. Minimum Qualifications
- Terminal degree in a related field, or training and professional experience that equates to a terminal degree.
- Appropriate teaching experience and/or strong oral presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
