Job Description
3D Printing & STEM Enrichment Instructor Math, Music & More is seeking a knowledgeable and patient 3D Printing & STEM Enrichment Instructor to provide hands-on instruction for a middle-school student, with the opportunity to teach additional students as the program grows. This is a great opportunity for an engineering or technology student, experienced 3D-printing hobbyist, maker, educator, or other individual who enjoys working with young learners. We currently have one 3D printer available for instruction . The program will focus on learning 3D design and printing through project-based activities rather than requiring multiple printers. Responsibilities Teach beginner-friendly 3D design and printing concepts. Introduce students to software such as Tinkercad or similar 3D modeling programs. Teach basic printer setup, slicing, filament use, printing, and troubleshooting. Help students design their own projects and prepare them for printing. Demonstrate safe and proper use of the 3D printer. Create engaging, age-appropriate STEM projects. Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and independent design skills. Provide guidance appropriate for middle-school-aged students. Qualifications Hands-on experience with 3D printing. Familiarity with Tinkercad or similar 3D design/CAD software. Ability to explain technical concepts simply and patiently. Comfortable working with middle-school-aged students. Dependable and able to commit to scheduled Monday sessions. Teaching experience is helpful but not required . Schedule & Compensation Initial schedule is Mondays for approximately 90 minutes per session , beginning September 14, 2026. The initial assignment will begin with one student, with the opportunity for additional instructional sessions as enrollment grows.
