This energetic role involves designing engaging art activities, guiding students through various visual and performing arts projects, and creating a vibrant, inclusive classroom environment. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for arts education, strong classroom management skills, and experience working with children to help young learners explore their artistic talents after school hours. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on students' artistic development while nurturing their confidence and self-expression. Duties Lead engaging after school art sessions that encourage creativity, experimentation, and personal expression. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating learning environment. Foster positive relationships with students by providing encouragement, guidance, and constructive feedback on their artistic projects. Coordinate with parents and school staff to communicate student progress and upcoming activities. Organize student exhibitions or performances to showcase their artistic achievements. Maintain organized lesson plans, supplies inventory, and classroom cleanliness to ensure a productive learning space. Skills Proven experience in teaching visual arts, performing arts, or related creative disciplines such as choreography or theater. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children of various ages effectively. Expertise in curriculum development tailored to youth programs and creative arts instruction. Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings; preschool or childhood development experience is a plus. Knowledge of teaching music, instrumental performance, dance instruction, photography or culinary arts is highly desirable. Ability to plan lessons that incorporate arts integration techniques while fostering individual creativity. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, parents, and colleagues; experience in tutoring or adult education is beneficial.
