Recreation Art Instructor Town of Timnath Timnath, CO Job Details Part-time $19.86 an hour 4 days ago Benefits Retirement plan Paid sick time Qualifications Student supervision Performing background checks Visual arts painting Teaching Full Job Description The Town of Timnath Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Recreation Art Instructor to develop and lead engaging art programs for children, youth, and adults. This unique position offers the opportunity to help shape and grow the Town's community art programming based on your artistic talents, interests, and availability. The instructor will plan, develop, and teach age-appropriate art classes that may include drawing, painting, crafts, mixed media, ceramics, sculpture, or other creative disciplines. Classes will be designed around the instructor's expertise, with opportunities to serve a variety of age groups. This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule , allowing class offerings and hours to be determined based on the instructor's availability and the needs of the community. Essential Duties Develop and teach engaging, age-appropriate art classes and activities. Plan and implement lessons based on your artistic expertise and interests. Provide a safe, positive learning environment and supervise participants at all times. Enforce program rules and respond appropriately to emergencies. Complete required paperwork and communicate program needs with Recreation staff. Attend staff meetings and trainings as needed. Qualifications Must be at least 16 years old at the time of hire. Knowledge and experience in art, fine arts, crafts, ceramics, painting, drawing, or a related discipline. Previous teaching, coaching, or instructional experience preferred. Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification prior to teaching. Must pass a post offer background check if 18 years of age or older. Ideal Candidate Creative, energetic, and enthusiastic. Comfortable teaching a variety of age groups. Able to create engaging, age-appropriate curriculum. Interested in helping build a growing community art program.
