Role Summary As an Elementary Art Teacher, you will lead a comprehensive visual arts program for students in our primary (K-2) or intermediate (3-5) buildings. You will design and implement a curriculum that explores diverse media, art history, and contemporary creative practices. Working collaboratively with school staff, you will ensure that art is integrated into the school culture and that every student's work is celebrated. Why You'll Succeed (Qualifications)
Certified Professional:
Valid Missouri Teaching Certification in Art (K-9 or K-12).
Degree Requirements:
Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree, required; Master's degree, preferred.
Master of Media:
You are comfortable teaching everything from ceramics and painting to digital media and sustainable "found-object" art.

You are committed to diverse representation in the curriculum, ensuring students study artists from all backgrounds and cultures.
STEAM-Ready:
You are excited to collaborate on cross-curricular projects that blend science, tech, engineering, and math with the "A" in STEAM. Your Impact (Key Duties)

Create a safe, high-energy studio environment where students can experiment with a wide variety of artistic tools and techniques.
Showcase Excellence:
Curate building-wide and district-wide art exhibitions that instill pride in our students and families.
Utilize Resources:
Leverage our district's unique assets, like Little Creek Nature Area , for plein air painting or nature-based sculpture projects.
Collaborate:
Partner with grade-level PLCs to connect art lessons to what students are learning in literacy, history, and science.
Foster Belonging:
Ensure your classroom is an inclusive space where art is used as a tool for social-emotional learning and community building.
