Job Description

Are you a creative artist? An artist with experience teaching adult learners? The Adult and Community Education program of the St. Charles City School District is seeking an experienced art instructor to teach adult evening and /or Saturday courses. These courses are part-time in nature and are offered based on student enrollment. The Adult Education Instructor will work under the general supervision of the Adult and Community Education Program Supervisor. New instructors must undergo a background check. All instructors are required to take annual online safety training as contractors with the St. Charles School District. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to…  Plan, develop and instruct adult education classes within their subject matter expertise.  Provide learner guidance to students in a classroom environment favorable to lifelong learning and personal growth.  Establish effective rapport with students, and motivate students to develop attitudes and knowledge needed to ensure that effective learning occurs.  Prepare and maintain all required documentation and administrative reports.  Maintain a secure classroom environment.
