Job Description
The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary Ste Genevieve Catholic Church, Ste Genevieve is seeking a faith-filled, dedicated Art teacher to join our school community. The teacher will provide high-quality, standards-based instruction while fostering spiritual growth and modeling Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate art lessons for students Introduce and reinforce art concepts, techniques, and art history Foster creativity, imagination, and appreciation for the arts Integrate faith, culture, and creativity into art instruction when appropriate Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging art classroom Display student artwork and support school-wide art projects and events Communicate effectively with school administration and classroom teachers Assess student learning and provide meaningful feedback Support students' academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development Follow all school policies and Archdiocesan guidelines Model Christian values and uphold the mission of Catholic education Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field (Master's degree a plus). Missouri Teaching Certification (Art K-12 preferred) or eligibility to obtain certification. Previous teaching experience in a school setting, preferably Catholic or private. Practicing Catholic preferred; must support the mission of Catholic education. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to inspire and nurture creativity across a wide range of age groups and skill levels.
