  • Instructional Job Summary The Instructor is responsible for educating and mentoring students in the principles of cartooning, comic book art, sequential storytelling, illustration, and visual communication.
The instructor delivers engaging classroom instruction, evaluates student work, provides constructive feedback, and helps students develop professional skills necessary for careers in the comics and graphic arts industries. Instructors are expected to combine teaching excellence with current industry knowledge and practice. Qualifications
  • Education Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Illustration, Animation, Graphic Design, or related discipline, trade school/vocational training in art or design, or equivalent professional experience preferred. Qualifications
  • Experience Professional experience in comics, illustration, animation, graphic design, or a related creative field. Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in visual storytelling and artistic technique. Prior teaching, mentoring, or workshop experience preferred. Qualifications
  • Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate aspiring artists. Proficiency with traditional and/or digital art tools.
Preferred skills include:
Published comic book, graphic novel, or illustration work. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Clip Studio Paint, Procreate, or similar software. Knowledge of current comic publishing and entertainment industries. Ability to teach both foundational and advanced artistic concepts.
