Teachers play a formative role in the development of their students. They are responsible for educating and nurturing students in a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment. About Harambee Christian School Harambee is a high-performing Christian private school serving students in grades Pre K-8 with many key distinctions. We are located in Columbus' South Linden neighborhood. Description As an Art Teacher at Harambee Christian School, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of inner-city youth. You will work in a Christ-centered environment, providing education and support to K-8 students as they navigate their academic journey.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment where students feel supported and encouraged to learn Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the holistic development of each student Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress and address any concerns Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with educational trends
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education (preferred) or related field Strong understanding of elementary education principles and best practices Moral and spiritual requirements of deacons as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 Cultural awareness and sensitivity Passion for working with inner-city youth and helping them succeed Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Join us in our mission to help inner-city youth thrive and grow in the body of Christ.
