About IPERC:
IPERC is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cross-cultural understanding through student exchange programs and international education initiatives. We are currently organizing a short-term summer camp at the OSU campus in Ohio for Chinese high school students to gain firsthand experience with American education and culture.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and reliable Art History Teacher to join our 2026 Summer Multicultural Experience Camp. The camp is designed to provide visiting Chinese high school students with a fun, hands-on introduction to American-style education, with a strong emphasis on creativity, engagement, and cultural exchange.
Responsibilities:
Lead art classes for high school students using engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans and materials provided by IPERC.Guide students in a variety of visual art projects, encouraging self-expression and creativity.

Create a welcoming, inclusive, and fun classroom environment. Arrive on time and be present only during scheduled class hours at the campus. Collaborate with camp staff to support the overall success of the student experience.
Qualifications:
Teaching experience in art history or a related subject, preferably with high schoolers. Passion for art education and working with international youth. Ability to foster a positive, hands-on, and student-centered classroom. Punctual, dependable, and professional. A degree in art, education, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hourly rate: from 50 USD, paid via direct deposit.
Time:
ET 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Total teaching hours: 40 Session duration: 2h15m or 2h30m Number of sessions: 18 or 16 OSU campus address: 281 W Lane Ave, Columbus, OH 43210 between June 22nd and July 31st Each class will be with a different group of roughly 20-30 students, meaning that the instructor can feel free to create just one lesson plan to be reused for each class. This is a short-term, temporary role.
