(K-5) We're a hands-on art program looking for enthusiastic, creative, and reliable Lead Art Teachers to join us in providing a fun, engaging experience for elementary-aged children (Kindergarten through 5th grade). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with kids, stays calm under pressure, and is excited to actively plan & participate in art projects, play. We bring magic to the families and children that we serve.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 1:00pm-6:30pm
Dates:
August 31st 2026-June 4th, 2027 (Longer if you choose)
Pay:
$18.00-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience
What You'll Do:
You will create and teach daily art lessons to 35 children our classroom. (You will trade off who's teaching with the other lead teacher in the classroom.) Assist with creative, age-appropriate art activities Supervise and actively engage with campers throughout the day Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment Help manage transitions, behavior, and group dynamics with patience and consistency Maintain and clean shared spaces daily—art projects and working with kids can get a little "icky," so being comfortable with hands-on cleanup is a must Contribute to a magical camp experience for our campers and their families!
What We're Looking For:
A "cool cucumber" attitude—calm, patient, and flexible in a busy camp setting A genuine love for working with children and a willingness to stay active and engaged with them Comfort with daily cleaning tasks and maintaining a tidy, safe environment Current Central Background Registry (CBR) number Current CPR and First Aid certification Strong communication and teamwork skills (We are here to have fun) Must have prior experience working with kids
Additional Information:
We follow PPS school calendars and are open on all in-service days and also on Early release days. Hours on those days are from 8:00am-3:00pm. We host a multiple community events throughout the year that we have our employees attend and participate in.
