Full Job Description Kids Art Party Teacher Overview :
We are seeking visual arts creatives to support young artists and families as a part of our re-established Art Parties Program. This position will work with children ages 3-13yrs, in a wide range of materials & techniques in 2-D & 3-D media. We are seeking dynamic, energetic team members to work at 1 or more of our 4 locations throughout the school year, starting in September 2026. Sunday availability is required . We have a supportive leadership team that helps train and support teammates and our program team ensures excellent preparedness for all events. Applicants must love working with young children in creative settings and have experience delivering excellent customer service.
Duties:
Co-lead a classroom of up to 18 artists through a process focused visual arts project. Support young artists and their families during special events. Navigate a wide variety of art materials, maintain an organized art studio. Manage special event supplies. Team collaboration, as all aspects of our work are structured with a team approach.
Experience:
  • Customer
  • Facing service experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Previous experience teaching young/elementary age children is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree (major or minor) in visual art or art education or art therapy preferred.
Requirements:
  • Passion for visual arts and young learners.
  • Availability Sundays, and possibly Friday & Saturday evenings, multiple weekends a month.
  • Reliable transportation within Philadelphia & preferably to our Mount Airy location.
  • Must be able to lift 35lbs and be on your feet throughout the workday.
  • Clearances and CPR certification.
  • Interview process: virtual interview, then in-person interview + classroom observation.
Pay:
$21.00
  • $23.
