Job Overview The Studio Art and Art History position is designed for individuals passionate about the arts and education. This role involves teaching and guiding students in various artistic disciplines while fostering an appreciation for art history. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both practical art skills and theoretical knowledge, enabling them to inspire creativity and critical thinking among students. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover both studio art techniques and art history concepts. Provide instruction in various mediums, including digital design, photography, typography, 3D animation, and character animation. Facilitate hands-on projects that encourage students to explore their creativity using tools such as Adobe software and ZBrush. Conduct research on contemporary art practices and historical movements to enrich the curriculum. Assess student progress through critiques, portfolios, and exhibitions while providing constructive feedback. Create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Organize workshops or guest lectures with professionals in the field to enhance student learning experiences. Requirements Proven experience working with students in an educational setting. Proficiency in digital design software, including Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with 3D animation techniques and tools such as ZBrush. Strong understanding of typography principles and their application in design. Knowledge of photography techniques and prepress processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. A degree in Fine Arts, Art History, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love for the arts among students.
