Job Description
Seeking an Art Teacher with experience working with children ages 2-11 years old. Work hours are from 7:30am -3:30pm, Tuesday and Thursday. Duties will include instilling a love of art, teaching them about famous artists, and creating pieces that both teach them a skill and couple as keepsakes. The school year begins August 11th and ends May 29 for 2026 and summers are off. The teaching hours are flexible and part-time. Duties include creating a schedule that allows a lesson with each class once a week and there are currently 7 classes, creating the year's lesson plans and turning them in for review-approval-and supply lists. The supply list is divided with some supplies being requested of the parents at the beginning of the school year and the remainder being covered by the school. We'll never ask you to buy your own supplies! In the hallways are display boards that you'll be in charge of keeping fresh, displaying new art completed by students. During the school year there are events on our outdoor stage and you'll be expected to help create and carry out the design, as well as directing parent volunteers that help with set up. Please bring a portfolio of your work. Dress is business casual, and tattoos covered please.
