Job Description:
Art Teacher Responsibilities:
  • Implement art curriculum for students of various age groups
  • Teach students various art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, pottery.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their artistic skills
  • Plan and organize art projects and exhibitions.
  • Manage and update Social media with studio events happening in the studio right after every class.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into other subjects
  • Assess student progress and provide as needed to run and promote events.
  • Communicate with parents about student performance and progress, and coordinated for missing classes make up dates.
Experience:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field. We will consider high skilled artists who might not have the college education, but are highly motivated to learn and follow our Hands on Art Approach to learning
  • Previous experience teaching art to students of various age groups
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons
  • Patience and understanding when working with students of different skill levels
  • Familiarity with relevant software programs and technology used in art education If you are passionate about art education and have the skills and experience required for this role, we would love to hear from you.
