Job Description

Teaching Artist / Art Instructor Do you love art, creativity, and inspiring others? We are seeking talented, energetic, and dependable Teaching Artists to join our growing team. This position includes teaching summer camps, after-school programs, art workshops, paint parties, community events, team-building experiences, and special art programs for children, teens, and adults.
What You Will Do:
Teach engaging art classes and creative experiences Lead projects in drawing, painting, watercolor, acrylics, mixed media, clay, crafts, and other art forms Inspire creativity, confidence, and self-expression Assist with summer camp, field trips, after school and special events Prepare and organize supplies and materials Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Represent the organization professionally in public settings Build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
Required Qualifications:
Must be punctual and consistently on time Must be reliable and dependable Comfortable speaking and teaching in front of groups Comfortable teaching art to children, teens, and adults Positive, professional, and energetic personality Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Passion for creativity, education, and community engagement Ability to pass a background check
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience Experience working with children Experience teaching drawing, painting, watercolor, acrylics, clay, mixed media, or specialty art forms Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
