Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Art Teacher for pk-12 grade. The ideal candidate would inspire creativity and artistic expression among students of various ages. In this role, you will develop engaging art curricula, foster a positive classroom environment, and support students' individual artistic journeys. Your enthusiasm for art and dedication to nurturing young minds will help cultivate a love for visual arts, encouraging students to explore their imagination and develop their skills through hands-on projects and collaborative activities. Duties Design and implement comprehensive art lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating diverse mediums and techniques. Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and critical thinking. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies and clear expectations. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement. Support students with special educational needs by adapting lessons to accommodate various learning styles and abilities. Organize exhibitions or displays of student artwork to celebrate their accomplishments and boost confidence. Skills Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored to different age groups and skill levels. Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings, including early childhood education or preschool experience. Familiarity with special education principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques. Proficiency in classroom management, lesson planning, and child development instruction. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Knowledge of childhood development, literacy education, standardized testing, and Montessori teaching methods is a plus.
