Foothill Oaks Academy is looking for a creative, patient, and dynamic Chinese (Mandarin) Teacher to develop and deliver engaging language and cultural lessons. The ideal candidate can differentiate instruction effectively to meet the developmental needs of young children (TK/Kindergarten) up through upper elementary students (6th grade). Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate Mandarin Chinese language, literacy, and cultural lessons for TK-6th grade students. Create a warm, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages active speaking and participation. Integrate Chinese traditions, holidays, stories, and cultural activities into the curriculum. Teach Chinese song to be performed at school programs.

Qualifications Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of elementary-level teaching experience.

Language Fluency:

Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin Chinese.

Character Knowledge:

Proficiency in both Simplified and/or Traditional Chinese characters (as applicable to your school's curriculum).

Skills:

Strong classroom management skills, familiarity with early childhood/elementary pedagogy, and comfort with educational technology.

Authorization:

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Pay:

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 6.0 per week
