Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for a responsible and patient Mandarin-speaking teacher/tutor for our after-school program. The role includes helping students (elementary school level) with homework, especially Chinese, math, and English. The ideal candidate will create a supportive and engaging learning environment. The job starts on August 25th, M-F 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Duties Tutor elementary school level homework in subjects such as English, Math, and Mandarin. Plan and deliver age-appropriate Mandarin lessons (spoken and written). Teach vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and Chinese characters. Incorporate cultural elements to make learning engaging and meaningful. Supervise students during classes and breaks, ensuring safety. Manage student behavior and communicate with parents effectively. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is preferred. Experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare or childcare is highly desirable. Proficiency in Chinese culture, history, rhymes, poems is highly preferred Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
