We are looking for dynamic educators who are familiar with the Reggio Emilia philosophy and are dedicated to excellence in Early Childhood Education. Summary The teacher will create a stimulating, safe, and developmentally appropriate learning environment, facilitating the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of toddlers. The role involves creating and implementing effective lesson plans. Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate Chinese language acquisition, including conversational skills and foundational language development, within an engaging and immersive classroom setting. Design and deliver early childhood education programs aligned with the Reggio Emilia philosophy, tailoring curricula to support developmental milestones and diverse learning styles. Foster curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving skills through age-appropriate activities and opportunities. Plan and organize both indoor and outdoor classroom environments; ensure the safety and effectiveness of educational programs while supervising and guiding children towards positive individual and group behavior. Maintain open and cooperative communication with parents and community groups, encouraging parental involvement and supporting family relationships. - Prepare comprehensive individual assessments of each child's development and maintain accurate daily records including inventories, attendance, and necessary reports. Lead, guide, and mentor staff, student employees, interns, and/or volunteers; assist in recruiting volunteers as necessary. Assist children with daily life activities (e.g., diapering/restroom use, feeding, dressing) and apply positive discipline techniques. Participate in occasional evening or weekend parent engagement events and other program-related activities. Uphold and exemplify the professional values of the organization at all times. Attend teacher meetings and other job-related gatherings throughout the year. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Applicant Qualifications:
24 valid Early Childhood Education Units are required for Lead Teacher roles. 12 valid Early Childhood Education Core Units are required for Assistant Teacher roles. Experience working with children ages 18 months to 5 years is preferred. Infant/Toddler units are required for toddler teachers. Familiarity with the Reggio Emilia approach is advantageous. Excellent communication skills. Dependable and responsible with a flexible schedule. Kind, caring, yet firm demeanor. A strong team player.
