The teacher may work with students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, middle school science, and regular or honors-level high school science courses. The ideal candidate should be familiar with the U.S. middle and high school science curriculum, understand the learning needs of American school students, and be able to explain scientific concepts clearly. The ability to communicate in Chinese is required. Responsibilities Teach middle school and high school science courses, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Support students in regular and honors-level science classes Help students review school materials, strengthen core concepts, and improve grades Explain homework, quizzes, tests, lab reports, and class projects when needed Create lesson plans based on each student's current level and school curriculum Track student progress and adjust teaching plans when needed Provide clear feedback to students and parents Help students build stronger study habits, problem-solving skills, and confidence in science Qualifications Must be able to communicate in Chinese Fluent English required Strong academic background in science, biology, chemistry, physics, or a related field Familiar with U.S. middle school and high school science curriculum Able to teach regular and honors-level science courses Experience teaching or tutoring middle school or high school students preferred Able to communicate clearly with students and parents Patient, responsible, organized, and good at explaining complex concepts in a simple way Familiarity with U.S. school assignments, grading expectations, and classroom learning style preferred Preferred Experience Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics Experience with honors-level science courses Experience helping students improve school grades Experience teaching students in grades 6-12 Experience in a tutoring center, private school, after-school program, or online teaching setting Schedule Flexible schedule. Weekday evenings and/or weekends preferred. Work Location Irvine, CA. In-person teaching preferred. Hybrid or online options may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
