Your classroom will be an encouraging, interactive environment where students learn through conversation, storytelling, games, and meaningful cultural exploration. In this role, you will design and deliver engaging Spanish instruction that supports students at varying levels of language development. Develop and deliver engaging Spanish lessons aligned with age-appropriate curriculum standards Build students' foundational Spanish language skills through listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities Encourage active participation through conversation practice, storytelling, games, music, projects, and cultural activities Differentiate instruction to meet varying learning needs, language proficiencies, and student confidence levels Foster a supportive classroom environment that builds confidence, curiosity, and cultural appreciation Incorporate meaningful cultural exploration into lessons to help students understand and value Spanish-speaking communities Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to support continued growth Maintain classroom organization, student records, instructional materials, and a positive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues about progress, expectations, and classroom experiences Collaborate with school leadership and fellow teachers to support a cohesive and enriching student experience What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field from an accredited institution Teaching credential or certification in world language instruction preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish Prior teaching experience, particularly in elementary or middle school, is a plus Strong interpersonal and classroom management skills Ability to pass state and federal background checks Enthusiasm for languages, culture, and inspiring young learners To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
