Our free service matches candidates with roles that align with their skills, experience, and goals. We work closely with each educator to help them find a school where they can thrive. We are currently seeking Mandarin Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent schools in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Mandarin Teacher Responsibilities:
Teach Mandarin courses at all levels for lower, middle, or upper school students. Promote language development through a range of age-appropriate learning opportunities, while fostering cultural awareness and biliteracy. Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students. Teach Mandarin language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods. Create opportunities for students to practice conversational Mandarin and improve pronunciation. Organizing events where students can showcase their Mandarin language skills. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education. Serve as an advisor for students providing guidance to support their success and development.
Mandarin Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mandarin language, Education, or related field required. Master's degree preferred. Proven written and verbal proficiency in Mandarin. Ability to teach Mandarin courses at various proficiency levels. 2-3 years of previous teaching experience strongly preferred. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
Additional Desired Qualities:
Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives, athletics, and extracurricular activities. Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred.
