Job Description

SPANISH INSTRUCTOR
Full time, Exempt Beginning Summer 2026 Salisbury School is looking for exciting and innovative instructors who thrive in a relational learning environment. We are looking for individuals who are eager to contribute to a supportive and collegial professional environment that is student-centered and caring in the education of boys. Core qualifications include a demonstrated commitment to building productive and meaningful professional relationships with students. The candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a related field and be able to demonstrate a growth mindset and an interest in joining a residential community that serves a diverse student body. This position includes access to the school's dining hall, use of school facilities, and professional development opportunities.
SUMMARY OF POSITION
Faculty members at Salisbury School report to the Dean of Faculty. Their primary roles are to teach and support students in their area of study, advise students, coach two seasons, and serve residential life duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS
Teach Each faculty member is normally expected to teach four sections of a subject, work one on one with students, help students with study strategies, assess student progress through tests & quizzes and communicate progress reports to parents. The number of sections & specific classes are based on the school's needs and are determined by the dean of faculty and /or department chair. Class blocks vary in length, between 45-60 minutes. Coach A full-time faculty member is expected to assist the program by coaching two seasons per year. Residential Life Each faculty member for whom the school provides housing will have an evening responsibility which includes dorm supervision, or its equivalent. Attend Faculty & other professional meetings that consist of 1-3 hours a week in an intermittent schedule. Other duties assigned by Head of School or designee.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have strong computer skills. Must be able to work Monday through Saturday, evenings and weekends. Residential faculty members must have a Public Service License.
