  • $27 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Photography Student performance assessment strategies Behavioral standards enforcement in schools Student record keeping Engaging lesson design (student motivation techniques) English Mid-level Administrative experience TESOL Certification Bachelor's degree Curriculum implementation TEFL Teaching foreign languages CELTA certification School policy and procedure enforcement Communication skills Teaching Full Job Description Location University of Miami (Miami, FL) Program Dates & Schedule Class Schedule Morning classes: 8:30 AM•12:30 PM (15-minute break) Afternoon classes: 3:00 PM•7:00 PM (15-minute break) Contracted Hours 30 hours per week 2 weeks: 60 hours total 4 weeks: 120 hours total 5 weeks: 150 hours total Course Dates Week 1: June 30•July 3 Week 2: July 6•9 Week 3: July 13•16 Week 4: July 21•24 Week 5: July 28•31 Contract Options 2-week contract: Weeks 4-5 4-week contract: Weeks 1-4 5-week contract: Full program (Weeks 1-5) Role Overview Teach engaging English lessons to international teenagers and young adults, while supporting their progress and overall experience in the program.
Key Responsibilities Student Supervision Act in loco parentis to ensure student safety, welfare, and discipline at all times Enforce the YES USA Student Code of Conduct Report any issues to management and take appropriate action Academic Duties Deliver high-quality English lessons following the YES USA curriculum Adapt and supplement materials as needed Be prepared to teach without technology or materials if necessary Administrative Duties Maintain accurate attendance records Monitor student performance and progress Submit weekly evaluation reports on time Attend all staff meetings and training sessions Take and upload student photos for internal use or social media Assist with and co-lead end-of-course ceremonies Requirements Bachelor's degree (TESOL or related field preferred) CELTA, TEFL, or TESOL (or equivalent certification) Experience teaching ESL to teenagers English proficiency Strong communication skills Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Compensation $20
