Full-time, Contract Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Specialist Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will be experts in their subject areas (Art, Music, Physical Education, Technology, etc.) and committed to fostering a love of learning through engaging, hands-on instruction. As a Specialist Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, innovative education that aligns with our school's student-centered approach while promoting creativity, critical thinking, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lesson plans tailored to students' diverse learning needs. Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, creativity, and collaboration. Integrate technology and hands-on learning experiences into lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding. Assess student progress through formative and summative assessments and provide feedback to support growth. Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities . Organize and participate in schoolwide events, showcases, performances, competitions, and exhibitions related to the subject area. Maintain classroom materials, equipment, and resources to ensure a safe and effective learning environment . Foster character development and leadership skills in students through curriculum and extracurricular activities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success. Uphold and model the school's values, dress code, and commitment to academic excellence and community engagement .
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in the relevant subject area or education. Valid teaching certification (or ability to obtain certification if required). Experience teaching in the subject area at the appropriate grade level preferred. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a structured yet creative learning environment. Passion for the arts, and hands-on, student-centered learning . Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
