In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Your enthusiasm for teaching and commitment to child welfare will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow in a bilingual setting. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to toddler development stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activity, and early childhood learning standards Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and independence among young children Utilize effective behavior management techniques to promote good conduct and emotional regulation Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns in both Spanish and English Maintain detailed documentation of child development progress, classroom activities, and incident reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws Coordinate classroom activities that support early intervention strategies and special education needs when applicable Ensure classroom safety by adhering to health guidelines including first aid and CPR procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and supervising children at all times Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Proven experience working with children in a preschool or toddler care setting Ability to develop age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social skills Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and a supportive learning environment Familiarity with special education practices, early intervention programs, and standardized testing methods for young children Experience with curriculum development tailored to preschoolers' needs including childhood welfare considerations Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare compliance Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining classroom discipline and organization Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in early intervention or childhood education are preferred Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to nurturing the next generation of learners!
