Job Description

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our team at Gooding High School. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters students' interest in the Spanish language and culture. This position requires a commitment to student success and an ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards. Teach Spanish language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening, to students at various proficiency levels. Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in school events and activities. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. Stay current with developments in language education and integrate new teaching strategies and technologies into the curriculum. Support students' cultural understanding by incorporating relevant cultural content into lessons. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field. Teaching certification or license in Spanish or a related area preferred. Proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous teaching experience, particularly at the high school level, is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and faculty. Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs. Familiarity with technology and educational software to enhance learning experiences.
