Shape meaningful experiences for 6th-8th grade students while making a real difference within a welcoming and supportive educational community. Located near Berwyn, IL, this onsite contract position spans from August 17, 2026, through June 2, 2027, and offers the chance to foster growth, inclusion, and confidence among a dynamic group of young learners. What we're seeking: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish Active Special Education Teacher licensure for Illinois Proven experience working with junior high or high school-aged students Consistent career history reflecting dependability and commitment Ability to adapt lessons to student needs, placing student engagement at the center of instruction Demonstrated success collaborating with diverse teams and families Strong classroom management skills with classes of 20 or fewer students
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in both English and Spanish, ensuring each student's needs are addressed Foster a supportive classroom environment that emphasizes inclusion, emotional growth, and academic achievement Employ creative teaching strategies, prioritizing student progress and engagement over rigid curriculum adherence Maintain open communication with colleagues, support staff, administration, and families Join in ongoing professional development to further enhance skills and best practices Uphold documentation and compliance standards as required by state and school policy This contract position offers consistent full-time hours—33.75 per week—throughout the academic year, perfect for professionals seeking stability and the opportunity to effect positive, lasting change.
