Job Description

Trinity High School in River Forest, Illinois, just west of Chicago, seeks a part-time Spanish teacher for its college preparatory and International Baccalaureate (IB) Spanish curriculum. The ideal candidate is dedicated to academic excellence, spiritual formation, and the empowerment of young women. Position Summary Trinity High School seeks a part-time Spanish teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Trinity teachers are mission-driven educators committed to Catholic values, academic excellence and the holistic formation of young women. Trinity teachers create a safe, inclusive, and intellectually challenging classroom environment rooted in Gospel values. Teachers demonstrate strong content knowledge, use varied instructional strategies, and assess student learning through meaningful and diverse methods. Responsibilities Plan and deliver instruction aligned with Trinity's college preparatory and IB curriculum Foster an inclusive learning environment that respects diverse abilities and backgrounds Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Support students' academic, personal, and spiritual growth Integrate instructional technology to enhance learning Teachers assigned to IB courses must complete required IB training during their first year. Trinity operates on a 4x5 block and alternating day schedule. Teachers typically teach three to five course preparations across college preparatory, pre-IB/IB, and elective courses. Specific course loads will be shared with candidates at the time of the interview. All courses can be viewed in the . Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Spanish, World Languages, or a related field (Master's preferred)Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) for grades 9-12 Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skillsCommitment to Catholic values and the mission of an all-girls school Ability to teach Spanish courses across grades 9-12 in both the college preparatory and IB curriculum Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying levels of Spanish language experience Bonus Qualification Knowledge of, proficiency in, or ability to teach French is considered a plus Salary and Benefits For a first year teacher with no experience, starting salary is dependent on degree. For a part-time teacher the exact amount paid varies by the exact number of classes.
The salary range is:
$23,000 - $30,000. Additional salary premiums available for previous teaching experience, national certifications or professional accomplishments.
