This position is part of an initial 8 week program serving approximately 10 to 15 youth and young adults, ages 15 to 24. Most participants are expected to be at the beginning stages of learning English. The program will focus on practical English skills for school, college, employment, and everyday communication while helping participants build confidence using English in real world situations. The initial program is expected to run for 8 weeks, with the potential for the program to be extended, modified, or continued based on participant needs and the needs of the community partner.

4 hours per week Weekly time commitment includes approximately 2.5 hours of classroom instruction and 1.5 hours of lesson preparation (approx. 45 minutes per session). Preparation time may be completed independently and scheduled flexibly by the instructor. Normal commuting time is not compensated.

$30 per hour for instructional and required preparation time Responsibilities The ESL Instructor will: Plan and deliver two 75 minute group ESL classes each week Prepare approximately 45 minutes of instructional material for each class Follow the curriculum framework and learning objectives provided by Creativity Campus Adapt instruction based on participant proficiency, progress, and learning needs Provide instruction in reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, and practical communication Incorporate school, college, employment, and everyday English into lessons Lead conversation practice, role play, and other interactive group activities Select, adapt, or develop appropriate instructional materials Provide supportive feedback and monitor general participant progress Communicate relevant observations or concerns to Creativity Campus Maintain a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment Follow applicable policies and procedures of the host organization Curriculum Focus Instruction may include: English foundations and communication confidence Everyday English and community communication Reading and writing skills School and college English Employment and workplace English Conversational English Real world communication Basic interview and job related language The curriculum will provide a structured framework while allowing the instructor to adapt lessons based on the needs and proficiency of the group. Qualifications We are seeking an instructor with appropriate education, training, certification, and/or professional experience in teaching English as a Second Language.

Youth Safety and Professional Expectations The program may include participants under the age of 18. The selected instructor will maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow applicable safety and conduct establishes policies. A designated staff member, volunteer, or representative is expected to be present or readily available during sessions involving youth participants, consistent with all policies. The selected instructor may be required to complete applicable background screening or other onboarding requirements before beginning instruction. Instructional Materials Creativity Campus will provide the overall curriculum framework and learning objectives. The instructor will prepare, select, adapt, or develop appropriate instructional activities and materials as part of the paid preparation time. A commercial textbook or purchased curriculum is not required for the initial program. Additional Opportunities Depending on the needs of Creativity Campus and its community partners, additional opportunities may become available following the initial program. These may include additional group ESL classes, individualized ESL tutoring, academic English support, workplace English instruction, or conversation focused English classes.
