Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Spanish Language & Content Teacher for grades K-8 to inspire students in their language learning journey and foster a love for diverse cultures. This role offers an exciting opportunity to create engaging, culturally rich lessons that enhance language proficiency and content mastery. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a commitment to student success, utilizing innovative teaching methods and learning technologies to support diverse learners. You will play a vital role in developing comprehensive curricula, managing classroom environments, and supporting students' academic growth across multiple subjects. Responsibilities Design and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate Spanish language instruction with content areas such as literacy, math, and social studies, tailored to K-8 students' developmental levels. Develop culturally relevant curriculum materials that promote language acquisition and content mastery while fostering cultural awareness. Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track student progress, assign digital resources, and facilitate communication with students and parents. Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance interactive lessons and support differentiated instruction for students with varying needs, including those with disabilities. Manage classroom environments effectively through proactive behavior management strategies, ensuring a positive space conducive to learning. Assess student understanding through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations and ongoing assessments. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, curriculum development, and school-wide initiatives to support holistic student development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish Language, or related field preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching K-8 students in diverse educational settings; private school or Montessori experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and effective classroom management techniques. Experience with curriculum development across multiple subjects, including literacy education and math integration. Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and digital resources for remote or hybrid instruction. Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations or support for disabilities. Excellent communication skills to engage students, collaborate with colleagues, and connect with families. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to support student achievement.
