Qualifications:
Valid, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certificate (no Temporary Authority to Teach credentials accepted) Experience with general education and/or ESL instructional methods Excellent communication skills to foster positive student-teacher connections Ability to adapt lesson plans to suit different learning needs and cultural backgrounds Commitment to meeting all credentialing requirements, including district drug screening and fingerprintingKey Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons to support student growth in general education and English as a Second Language Plan, instruct, and assess students according to school district guidelines Collaborate with colleagues and school staff to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share student progress Maintain records in accordance with district policy and ensure compliance with all local and state requirements This full-time contract spans from the present through May 27, 2027, working 35 hours per week during regular school calendar days. School and caseload assignments will be determined prior to your start date, enabling you to bring your talents where you're needed most.
