We are seeking an experienced General Education and ESL Teacher ready to make a difference in a K-12 school setting. This full-time contract role begins as soon as possible and runs through May 27, 2027, aligning with the local school calendar. Working Monday through Friday, youll provide instruction and support for diverse learners, including English language learners. Exact caseload and school assignments will be determined after placement.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid and active Louisiana Department of Education Teaching Certificate required Experience as an ESL and/or General Education Teacher in a school setting preferred Must not hold Temporary Authority to Teach Ability to pass a district-required drug screen and fingerprinting process Passion for inclusive education and supporting students English language acquisition Strong communication skills and adaptability in educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and deliver engaging lessons for students, tailoring instruction for English language learners Collaborate with school staff to implement culturally responsive teaching strategies Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and areas for growth Contribute to the schools mission of fostering a welcoming, equitable learning environment Participate in professional development sessions as required This is a contract position featuring a consistent schedule: 35 hours per week, seven hours a day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school districts calendar. Assignments may span multiple campuses, serving a variety of age groups depending on district needs.
