English as a Second Language (ESL) Gen Ed Teacher - Metairie, Louisiana

Job Description

Step into a rewarding classroom career as an ESL and General Education Teacher supporting diverse learners for the 2026-2027 academic year in the vibrant New Orleans area. This contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, and offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, following the schools academic calendar.
Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging lessons to general education and ESL students across age groups (specific caseload and school assignments to be provided). Differentiate instruction and provide targeted English language support for multilingual learners. Assess student progress and maintain detailed documentation, supporting academic growth. Collaborate closely with colleagues, parents, and support staff to develop and promote individualized learning plans. Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities as required by the school.
Qualifications:
Valid, active Louisiana Department of Education teaching certification (required). Experience as a General Education and/or ESL Teacher in a school setting. Strong communication, adaptability, and relationship-building skills. Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school teams.
