Job Description

Carney, Sandoe & Associates (CS&A) is an educational recruitment firm that connects teachers with private and independent K-12 schools across the U.S. and abroad. Our free service matches candidates with roles that align with their skills, experience, and goals. We work closely with each educator to help them find a school where they can thrive. We are currently seeking a Middle School French Teacher starting in Fall 2026 at an independent school in Braintree, MA.
French Teacher Responsibilities:
Teach five French courses at various proficiency levels for middle school students. Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula tailored to the needs and skill levels of individual students. Lead department staff in the delivery of an engaging and meaningful educational experience across grades 5-8. Teach French language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through a variety of instructional methods. Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior. Participate in regular professional development activities to stay current with best practices and innovation in language education. Serve as an advisor, providing guidance to support their success and development.
French Teacher Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in French, Linguistics, Education, or related required. Master's degree preferred. Proven written and verbal proficiency in French. 3-7 years of previous middle school teaching experience. No teaching license or credential is required. Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community. Willingness to assist with extracurricular and school community activities.
Additional Desired Qualities:
Knowledge of ACTFL standards preferred. Pay:
$50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
