We offer an unparalleled dual curriculum in Judaic and general studies. With an emphasis on moral and spiritual development, our students are avid learners eager to engage with each other, their teachers, and their community.

Our Ivrit teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and collaborative environment that cultivates learning of the Hebrew language, culture and people of the State of Israel. Candidates must be committed to teaching Ivrit BIvrit and be knowledgeable in Chumash and General Judaics, with a demonstrated passion for curriculum design, collaboration, and education. What you will do In this position you will teach a combination of classes in Elementary, Middle and Upper School grades. Classes will focus on critical skills related to the four strands of language acquisition: listening, speaking, reading and writing.
In addition you will:
Plan, build, execute, and measure the success of student-centered classroom lessons within the context of our school's Judaic Studies and Ivrit curricula Provide an environment that encourages participation and recognizes the needs of individual students and the entire group and offer support and flexibility as needed Integrate Hebrew and Israel into other areas of the school through interdepartmental collaboration Work as part of a cooperative and diverse team of educators and administrators to carry out the mission of Maimonides Cultivate positive relationships with current and prospective students and parents Qualifications We are looking for teachers who have native-like fluency in Hebrew and who are comfortable teaching Ivrit B'Ivrit at a variety of grade levels. In addition we are looking for people who have A Bachelor's degree 2-4 years teaching experience, including experience teaching Hebrew as a second language Interest in professional growth and commitment to continuous learning Native Hebrew speaker is a plus Salary & Benefits This is a part time position, with an expected commitment of 20-30 hours per week. We will work with the right candidate to find a mutually agreeable teaching schedule.
