Job Description
Stoughton Public Schools seeks a highly qualified High School EL teacher to join our committed MLL department in serving our schools multilingual student population. The Middle School EL teacher will coordinate EL services and provide direct ESL instruction to students. They will develop English language proficiency goals that are clear and measurable and track student progress. They will also be responsible for administering state mandated EL screening assessments and the annual

exam for ELs. The role also includes coordinating redesignation of ELs, monitoring FEL (former English Learner) students, and keeping EL records in accordance with DESE guidance. As a critical member of the instructional team, the EL teacher will work in collaboration with general education and content teachers and share best practices to ensure high quality sheltered English instruction.
