Job Description

Niles Community Schools Spanish Teacher - Niles High School June 5, 2026 Full time position for the 2026-2027 school year Reports to: Niles High School Principal (or designee) Niles Community Schools is looking for a dynamic Spanish Teacher. Highly-effective communication skills and professionalism required for daily interaction with a diverse workforce, student population, building administration and community.
Required Qualifications:
Certified to teach in the State of Michigan with a Spanish (FF) endorsement Performance Responsibilities (non-prioritized): Plans and provides appropriate learning experiences for students on subject matter, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education, and other appropriate learning methods Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments in order to evaluate students' progress Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and provides individualized and small group instruction and varied teaching methods in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student Prospective employees will receive consideration without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex (including sexual orientation or gender identity), disability, age (except as authorized by law), religion, military status, ancestry, or genetic information (collectively, "Protected Classes") in its educational programs or activities.
