This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to foster cultural appreciation, artistic expression, and personal growth in children. H-1B visa sponsorship may be available for qualified Mandarin teacher candidates. Duties Lead after-school Mandarin language classes, incorporating interactive speaking, listening, reading, and writing activities tailored to various age groups Facilitate engaging art projects that encourage creativity, self-expression, and cultural exploration Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques Ensure the safety of all children through vigilant supervision and adherence to childcare protocols Implement age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with developmental milestones and educational standards Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities Prepare materials and set up learning environments that promote active participation and curiosity Requirements Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including tutoring or camp experience Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Certification in First Aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with first aid protocols required; additional certifications in special education or youth development are a plus Experience facilitating youth group activities or outdoor work experience preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children effectively through theater experience or other creative outlets Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities Passion for teaching Mandarin language and art, along with an understanding of cultural sensitivity and Christian counseling principles is advantageous Join us in making a meaningful impact on children's lives by nurturing their language skills and artistic talents!
