Part-Time Middle and Upper School Teacher of Spanish 2026-2027

Summary of Responsibilities Hackley School seeks a Part-Time Teacher of Spanish to teach in the Middle and Upper Schools for a one-year appointment in the 2026-2027 academic year. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in the target language (BA in Spanish required; graduate degree preferred). The ideal candidate has experience teaching Spanish at the middle and upper school levels. Candidates with experience and skill in teaching additional languages (e.g., French, Chinese, and/or Latin) are strongly encouraged to apply. Teaching responsibilities for the 2026-2027 school year include one section of Spanish 7 in the Middle School and one section of Spanish I in the Upper School. Reporting Structure The Upper School Teacher of Spanish reports to the Modern Languages Department Chair, the Director of the Middle School, and the Director of the Upper School.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this 10-month part-time faculty position is $31,353-$58,120, with experience informing a base salary as published in Hackley's faculty salary stage scale.
