Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting K-12 students as a part-time English as a Second Language Teacher close to Pataskala, OH. This contract opportunity allows you to work with diverse learners across multiple school sites within the district, building skills and confidence in English language learners. Flex your creativity and expertise while traveling between buildings, and benefit from a cohesive educational community.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Ohio teaching certification with endorsement in English as a Second Language (ESL) Experience working with K-12 students, preferably in diverse or multilingual classrooms Familiarity with ESL teaching methodologies and ability to adapt instruction for varying proficiency levels Strong communication, organization, and time management skills Willingness to travel to different campuses throughout the week
What You'll Do:
Provide direct instruction to K-12 English language learners, fostering language acquisition and academic achievement Develop differentiated lesson plans and materials tailored to individual proficiency levels and cultural backgrounds Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to support student integration and progress Conduct assessments, track student growth, and report on learning outcomes Communicate effectively with families and support student engagement both within and beyond the classroom Ensure compliance with state and district regulations for ESL programs
