In this role, you will develop engaging curricula, foster a positive classroom environment, and support students' linguistic and cultural understanding of the French language. Your enthusiasm for teaching and expertise in language instruction will help students achieve their academic goals while cultivating a love for French and Francophone cultures. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' educational experiences. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and instructional design techniques. Deliver engaging French language instruction that emphasizes speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, utilizing effective classroom management strategies. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing and project-based assessments. Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs, including literacy education and special education accommodations. Mentor students in their language development, providing individualized tutoring and academic advising as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons that integrate linguistics, creative writing, and cultural studies. Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavior management efforts to ensure continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in French, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Proven classroom experience teaching high school students, with a strong understanding of classroom management techniques. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and assessment strategies for language education. Knowledge of learning technology tools and digital resources to enhance instruction and student engagement. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff. Ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learners and manage classroom behavior effectively.
