Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive Spanish language curricula tailored to diverse student needs and proficiency levels Develop lesson plans that incorporate assessment-driven instruction, literacy education, and cultural awareness Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement Conduct student assessments to monitor progress, identify areas for improvement, and inform instructional strategies Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management techniques and conflict resolution skills Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and student support initiatives such as Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive learning environments Qualifications Proven experience teaching Spanish at elementary or early childhood education levels Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment strategies Familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technology tools, and educational compliance standards Experience working with students with disabilities or special education requirements is highly desirable Demonstrated classroom management skills combined with excellent communication skills Background in literacy education, language acquisition techniques, and cultural instruction Ability to analyze student performance data for quantitative evaluation of progress and academic interventions Prior experience in private school settings or Montessori environments is a plus Passion for working with children and fostering their academic growth through engaging instruction Requirements Bachelor's degree in Spanish, education, foreign-language education, or a related field. Fluency or advanced proficiency in spoken and written Spanish. Strong English communication skills. Spanish teaching experience or experience working with school-aged children preferred. Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification or eligibility for an emergency permit, depending on the school and assignment. Knowledge of effective language-teaching methods and classroom-management strategies. Ability to develop standards-aligned lessons and differentiate instruction. Proficiency with classroom technology and student information systems. Current Pennsylvania Child Abuse, State Criminal, and FBI clearances. Mandated Reporter certification. Act 24 and Act 168 documentation, when required. Professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and strong communication skills.
